Scout Report

Their form:

Newcastle are in freefall. Fourteenth in the table after losing 8 of their last 11 games, and they've somehow managed to drop 25 points from winning positions this season. That's not bad luck, that's mentality. They haven't won at the Emirates in their last 13 visits either.

Watch out for:

Set-pieces are their main weapon with 14 goals from dead balls. Malick Thiaw's got 4 from corners so we can't switch off. They're also rapid on the break - joint-third fastest attacks in the league with pace from their wingers. William Osula's been scoring regularly too.

Team news:

Saka's back from his Achilles problem and Calafiori might return. Still missing Timber and Merino. They're without Gordon, Livramento and suspended Joelinton, but Guimaraes is fit again.

My View

Win today or it's over. We have bottled our lead AGAIN. If we don't win the league we need to get rid of Arteta. There are no excuses left, it would prove he is unable to coach a team over the line.
Our April performances over the years (when title challenges start) have left a lot to be desired. 1 win in 6 games is not good enough. I'm not convinced about Newcastle, I think the occasion might get to the players. But at best I think we win 3-2. Newcastle are in poor form which is our only saving grace.
