Honestly, I Think We Might Be...
A roundup of this weeks top stories
- North London Derby at their place tomorrow with City breathing down our necks just two points behind. Season defining moment and we all know it.
- Arteta’s gone full siege mentality saying “if you don’t want noise, go support a different club” which is either exactly what we need to hear or sounds a bit desperate.
- We could win at Tottenham for the fourth time running, something that’s never happened before, but let’s be honest – our last seven games have been proper patchy.
- Ødegaard’s potentially back, though Arteta’s doing his usual dance about whether he’ll actually start.
- Havertz is still a doubt despite the manager’s optimistic noises .
- Trossard’s fine after that head knock against Wolves so at least we’ve got one less headache to worry about.
- Tottenhams new manager bounce could be a factor, though it’s Spurs so they’ll probably find a way to bottle it anyway.
- The Goonerverse boys think we’ll nick it 2-1 which feels about right; scrappy, nervy, but just enough character when it matters.

This Is A Worry
Tottenham Vs Arsenal
This should be routine, but we have a proper talent for making life difficult for ourselves.
Their form: Absolute shambles. Winless in eight league games, two wins from 17, and sitting 16th - five points from the drop. New manager Tudor’s walked into a crisis that makes our bad spells look like minor blips.
Watch out for: Xavi Simons loves nicking the ball high up the pitch and Tudor’s mad 3-4-2-1 system has defenders bombing forward everywhere. They’re scoring more goals through their centre-backs than anyone else - which tells you everything about their attacking options right now.
How we win: We’ve battered them six times in seven meetings and they can’t win at home without Romero. Saka’s got six derby contributions in eight games and loves that ground. Just don’t overthink it.
Team news: Saka and Trossard are fine after their Wolves scares. Ødegaard and Havertz need assessing. They’ve got 10+ out including suspended Romero - it’s carnage over there.

“
A lack of bravery is where I think we'll lose out on winning this league. I can't defend going 2-0 up against a team that's bottom of the Premier League and then drawing that game. One or two goals and they start to sit back. That's not title-winning mentality.
I genuinely feel like if we don't win this league, it's more to do with us not believing in ourselves than Man City being great. Watching the City game against Newcastle, I can see it in Pep's
eyes, he knows what's coming. This has happened too many times before.
Now, I'm not saying we're completely out of the race, but my current confidence in the players and the manager is the lowest it's been this season. I saw the writing on the wall a couple of weeks ago.
Tottenham: if we don't go there and win, then two wins out of eight games is enough to say we are not going to win the league. There seems to be a pattern where every time we reach around the February/March period we start to drop points, especially when we're leading the race. We tend to
play a lot better when we aren't the favourites.
