3 Things We Learned From The Game

1. Every Bayern player was tracked across the pitch - Saliba followed Kane everywhere, even 60 yards up the field
2. The false nine system is genuinely working - What started as a necessity has become a genuine tactical weapon. Merino dropping deep creates space for Eze, Rice and the wingers to exploit.
3. Declan Rice is operating at a different level - His performance against Bayern's quality midfield was nothing short of heroic. The engine, technique, set-piece delivery and growing goal threat make him virtually unplayable right now.
