Scout Report

Their form:

  • One win in five games tells you this isnt the City of old
  • Getting beat 5-1 by Real Madrid in midweek could impact moral

Watch out for:

  • Haaland's scored against us in each of his last three appearances.
  • Cherki's been electric in the cups with four goal involvements in four games.
  • Their high press leads the league with 52 shot-ending turnovers, so no dawdling on the ball.

How we win:

  • Nine goals conceded from set-pieces this season with their deputy keeper starting?
  • Their narrow formation leaves acres of space out wide when we win possession back.
  • we've not lost to them in six meetings.

Team news: Ødegaard still doubtful with his knee problem, Timber's ankle needs assessing. Kepa starts having played every cup round. They're missing Gvardiol and cup-tied Guehi.

My View

I think this game is a lot bigger than we're making out. City have been a dominant side for a long period of time. They're definitely not the same City that they used to be, but one thing they do have over us is the experience in the biggest games.
I think whoever wins this game has a huge psychological boost over the other and could have a massive impact on the remaining fixtures. I do believe we're going to win the league, but by winning today I think it would send a message to our players that they are good enough and ready to win the biggest titles.
Saka - I need you to find form and win this game for us. We need startboy back.
Prediction: Arsenal 2 - 2 Manchester City - We win on penalties
